Introducing LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System set

After some previous leaks, The LEGO Group and Nintendo announced the LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System set, celebrating the 35th anniversary of NES (Famicom) release in America.

When assembled, this 1980s-style TV set and NES with show details that will remind adults and LEGO fans of the experience of “Super Mario Bros.” they had when they were kids.

With this set, it is possible to emulate even the details of NES such as openable cassette slot with lock function, controller, game cassette, etc. all with LEGO blocks!

In addition, if you put the game cassette in the NES body made of Lego block and turn the handle of the retro TV, 8-bit Mario moves on the screen. Also, if you use the action block on the TV with the separately sold figure from the LEGO Super Mario basic set… Mario will react!
